About the featured book

Prophets do not just happen. They are built.

One of the most startling and powerful figures among the Old Testament prophets is Elijah the Tishbite. This volume revisits his biblical narrative from an original and searching perspective.

Keith Lannon looks beyond Elijah’s dramatic arrival and asks what spiritual education, experience and worldview could build a person capable of confronting a nation, defying a climate and carrying an authority rarely seen before.

Keith Lannon

A life formed by Scripture, faith and international ministry.

Keith describes himself as both an extrovert and an introvert: socially lively among friends, yet once painfully shy when asked to read formally in public. That tension changed direction after he opened his life to Christ on 21 April 1967, the day after his eighteenth birthday.

Nearly six decades of biblical study, preaching and teaching have since taken him across the United Kingdom and to audiences in Europe, Africa, the United States and South Korea. Now living in Spondon on the eastern edge of Derby, he continues to write, edit and search the Scriptures for truth that brings life, stability and purpose.
